Paying by bank transfer allows you to pay only 10% upfront and the rest later, making it an ideal payment method for trips planned and booked far ahead.

How does it work?

  1. Contact our sales team to arrange a bank transfer payment plan and agree to spread the trip's cost over several instalments. Please note that your eligibility and payment plan's completion depend on your check-in date and the home's cancellation policy.

  2. Pay a 10% deposit on your card to confirm your booking using the unique checkout link sent to you by email or chat.

  3. Pay by bank transfer for every instalment using the Plum Guide's bank details shared by email. Payments are accepted in USD, GBP, EUR and AUD. Plum Guide's bank details will be unique to each booking, so you don't need to add a particular reference.

Are bank transfers instant?

Unfortunately, bank transfers are not instant – and that's particularly true in the US.

Because it may take up to 5 business days for a bank transfer to clear onto Plum Guide's account, we encourage guests to initiate payments at least 5 days before the due date, leaving plenty of time for the funds to clear.

What happens if my payment is late?

While we send email reminders when each payment due date approaches, you are responsible for initiating each bank transfer in time for the funds to reach our account by the due date.

  • If you have made the payment late and worry the funds won't reach our account by the due date, please contact us as soon as possible via email at info@plumguide.com or start a chat.

  • If you haven't made the payment or reached out to us, we will automatically charge the card used to pay the initial 10% deposit the day after the due date.

What happens if I cancel my booking?

Cancelling your trip when you pay your booking in instalments is no different than if you pay the full cost ahead. You will receive a refund according to your trip's cancellation policy if you cancel a booking.

Eg: If you're eligible for a 50% refund and you cancel before the payment plan is completed, no refund will be issued, and the remaining 50% simply won't be due.

If you are eligible for a refund, the 10% deposit paid by card will be released to your card, and the remaining funds paid via bank transfer will be sent back to you once we receive your bank details. Our Care team will contact you to arrange your bank refund.

To check which cancellation policy covers your booking, visit your Trips page, choose a trip and select the "Cancellation" tab.
