Net Payment Overview

With Net Payment, we deduct your commission directly from the booking total, so you pay the Net Rate at checkout (the booking total minus your commission). This eliminates the need to invoice Plum Guide later — ideal for partners who want a seamless payment experience!


How to use Net Payment

Easy set up

If you can't see a Net Payment option in checkout, simply reach out to your account manager or email partnerships@plumguide.com to request access. We'll set you up within 24 hours.

How Net Payment Works

  • Your commission is automatically deducted from the booking total at checkout.

  • You pay the Net Rate upfront.

  • No need to send an invoice after the booking; your commission is handled automatically.

  • Important: Net Payment can only be selected during checkout. Once a booking is confirmed or a request is submitted, you cannot switch to Net Payment and will need to invoice us instead.


Net Payment step-by-step:

  1. Log in to your Plum Guide Partner account.

  2. Search for the perfect home for your client.

  3. At checkout, locate the ‘Net Payment’ option in the Payment Summary section and toggle it on.

  4. Complete your booking at the Net Rate (e.g. 92.5% of the booking total if your commission is 7.5%).


Cancellation policy for Net Payment bookings

Commission is only paid on bookings that remain confirmed.

  • If you cancel within the free cancellation period:

    • You'll receive a refund of what you paid at checkout.

  • If you cancel outside the free cancellation period:

    • You may receive a partial refund based on the property's cancellation policy

    • You are required to repay the commission portion to Plum Guide.

    • We reserve the right to charge the card on file to recover any owed commission.

Cancellation with commission repayment example:

  • Booking total: $1,000

  • Commission (at 7.5%): $75

  • Net Rate paid at checkout: $925

The booking is cancelled outside the free cancellation window and does not qualify for a refund.

  • Amount due to the Plum Guide host: $1,000

  • Amount you paid: $925

Since you only paid $925, you must return the $75 commission to cover the full host payout.

  • The $75 commission will be charged back to the card you provided.


Important notes

  1. You must be logged in to your registered Partner account to enable Net Payment at checkout.

  2. Net Payment must be selected during checkout — it cannot be applied retrospectively.

  3. If the booking is cancelled, the commission retained through Net Payment must be repaid to Plum Guide.

  4. Keep in mind that Net Payment may not be the right option if you pay using your client's card, as they'll see the Net Rate on their bank statement.
