Instant Booking vs Request to Book - the benefits

Guests like the convenience of having their booking accepted immediately without having to wait for a response - when a home is offered on Instant Book, the reservation is confirmed automatically.

This is the opposite of Request to Book where you have to manually approve or decline the booking.

Homes on Instant Booking achieve up to 21% better conversion

  • Guests filter according to homes on Instant Book, meaning more exposure for you

  • Homes on Instant Booking are prioritised up in the search results vs. homes on Request

  • As a host, it saves you admin time - you no longer have to manually approve or decline requests, or risk them auto-cancelling after 72 hours

  • As a host, you can also have the option to enabled guest ID verification, for added security

How to activate Instant Booking on your listing

  • Log in to your Plum Guide host account

  • Go to Listings

  • Click Manage β†’ Booking policies

  • Within the Instant Book section, switch on the Instant book toggle

  • Guest ID verification will turn itself on automatically

  • To turn it off, switch off the toggle

If the check-in is within 48 hours of the booking (today, tomorrow, the day after) - the instant book feature is automatically disabled.
