Different cities have different laws regarding licences and registration numbers. Some cities we operate in require you to obtain and display a unique registration number on your listing. Often the rules will vary depending on things like your particular type of property, its specific location within a city, and whether it's your primary residence or not.
You should contact your local authority to check the requirements for renting out your home, including whether or not your need to apply for a licence and registration number. Be aware that there may be other restrictions also including, for example, the maximum number of days per year that you can rent out your home or a minimum number of nights per stay.
It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of, and compliant with, the rules relating to your particular property.
If you are required to display a registration number, you can submit it on the Local Regulations page:
Log into your Plum Guide account and go to Listings
Manage > Booking Policies
Local Regulations > Enter the property registration number > Save changes.
Please note if you are using a Channel Manager / PMS to connect your home(s) to Plum Guide, your registration number will not sync over automatically. It must be added manually.
