Booking with Plum Guide is straightforward – from finding the perfect home to completing payment. Whether you're booking on behalf of a client or guiding them to book directly, here’s what to expect at each step, including how Instant Book and Request to Book work.
Booking on behalf of a client
Follow these steps when managing the booking yourself:
1. Log in and select your home
Log in to your Plum Guide Partner account and choose the home and dates that suit your client.
2. Enter client details
At checkout, provide your client’s full name, email address and phone number. These details are used strictly for booking purposes and will never be used for marketing.
3. Choose your commission payment method
Option 1 – Pay GROSS
Pay the full booking amount upfront.
Your commission will be sent straight to your bank account after your client stay is complete – no invoicing required. Payments are processed twice per month.
Option 2 – Pay NET (Net Payment)
Your commission is automatically deducted from the total.
That's it, no invoicing process after your client completes stay.
4. Choose confirmation email settings
If you're paying GROSS: You can choose to send a copy of the booking confirmation email to your client.
If you're paying NET: No confirmation email is sent to your client, ensuring your commission remains private.
5. Complete payment securely
Request to Book homes: The host has up to 48 hours to accept or decline the request. A temporary authorisation hold is placed on the payment method and released immediately if the request is declined.
Instant Book homes: The booking is confirmed immediately once payment is completed.
If your client is booking themselves
You can still earn commission by guiding your client through one of the options below:
Option 1: Share a referral link (recommended)
Log in to your Plum Guide Partner account
Go to the chosen listing
Click the Share icon (next to the 'heart' icon) and copy the referral link
Send the link to your client
Your partner code is automatically applied at checkout.
Your client won’t see any commission details or partner-specific features.
Option 2: Provide your Partner Code
Your client can manually apply your code at checkout:
Click “I have a code”
Enter your Partner Code
How to find your partner code
Log in to your Plum Guide Partner account
Go to the chosen listing
Click the Share icon (next to the 'heart' icon) and find your code in the 'Referral link' column
Alternative payment option
While not available at checkout, we also accept bank transfers.
