We're changing how we process your payout

What is HyperWallet?

Hyperwallet is a purpose-built payout platform, part of the Paypal group, that provides a frictionless, transparent, and reliable way for Plum Guide to manage payments and enhance the payee's experience anywhere in the world.

Plum Guide will now use the HyperWallet platform to process all payouts, so every host has to set up an account, add bank details, and verify their identity online if and when required.

Why is Plum Guide changing payout provider?

HyperWallet makes it possible for Plum Guide to process payments in multiple countries through a single platform. This is a key benefit for both Plum Guide and Plum Guide hosts, while we keep growing and expanding to new markets.

How do I get set up with HyperWallet?

Follow these easy steps:

  1. You will receive an email to prompt you to create a HyperWallet account. This account creation happens within your Plum Guide host dashboard and is all the set up you need to receive payouts.

  2. You will add your bank details to your new HyperWallet account. To maintain data privacy and GDPR compliance, hosts should handle and input their own sensitive information such as bank details, and unfortunately Plum Guide is not able to migrate your payout details automatically.

  3. If you are a business, or if you are an individual host and the total of your payouts has reached 2,500€, you will be legally required to verify your identity. This is what you need to know:

    1. The identity verification is powered online by HyperWallet.

    2. You will receive an email from Plum Guide with the details of how to complete this process.

    3. Your payouts will be temporarily paused until your ID verification is approved (up to 3 working days)

I have upcoming payouts, will they be held up during the identity verification process?

After undergoing the online ID verification (see above), the information can take up to 3 working days to be processed. During this short transition period, payouts will be temporarily paused, but will resume immediately after the verification process is complete. Please note that depending on your bank, it can take an additional 3 working days for the payment to appear on your account.

Will using HyperWallet have any impact on my payouts?

Nothing will change, HyperWallet will simply process your payouts in the background. As a host, you won't see any difference in your payouts.

Is there a fee for using HyperWallet?

No, there is no fee for using HyperWallet.

I manage different payees so how will HyperWallet work?

You will have the option to add multiple payees. These payees will then be required to go through the verification process with HyperWallet once they accumulate a payout of €2500 or above. Other than that, nothing will change in how your receive and manage bookings.

I don't want to join HyperWallet. What are my options?

Unfortunately, this is a requirement for all of our hosts. If you have any concerns please feel free to reach out to a member of the Plum Guide team who can answer the questions you may have.
