What do we mean by "the best homes"?
Every Plum Guide home must, without exception:
Feature thoughtful design*, with at least one remarkable element.
Be impeccably clean and well maintained.
Be managed by attentive, responsive hosts
*Occasionally, we may include a home that doesn’t quite meet our design expectations if it offers a truly remarkable feature, such as an unbeatable location or exceptional amenities. In such cases, we’ll be transparent with guests, explaining why the home is part of our collection in the Home Truths section on the listing page.
Plum Guide’s expectations for Homes:
To maintain our high standards, we expect every home to include:
A full, detailed home manual for guests.
Quality beds and bedding.
Reliable hot water and good shower pressure.
Functional kitchens with ample crockery and utensils.
Well-stocked essentials, including basic kitchen supplies and well-presented toiletries.
Comfortable, appropriately sized living spaces.
Strong, reliable Wi-Fi.
At least 75% of these criteria must be met. If a home falls short on any element, we’ll be transparent and note this on the listing, in the Home Truths section.

Hosts are expected to:
Ensure their listing is accurate and transparent.
Highlight any home truths where criteria are not fully met.
Update listing details promptly using our listing edits request form if anything changes.
Communicate with guests in a timely and helpful manner, always aiming to meet or exceed their expectations.
